Tillmann Wegst

Welcome on my pages!

I'm a self-employed software developer, author, and linguist focusing on topics related to language technology. I have or had to do with

• Classification and information extraction
• Parsing and pattern matching
• Fuzzy matching and indexing
• Distributed systems using OCSelot or CORBA
• GUIs with Swing
• Databases
• Web applications with servlets
• OOA/OOD and design patterns
• Multilingual development
• Documentation in English and German

For an overview over my earlier projects, see Referenzen and Publikationen (sorry, still only in German).

OCSelot
One of my younger projects is the Java middleware OCSelot. OCSelot is lightweight: easy to learn, pure Java, requires neither registry nor ORB, lets you use POJOs as services, has distributed garbage collection and a number of security mechanisms, allows to develop local and remote versions structurally similar, ... features making it well suited for rapidly setting up small to middle sized distributed systems - More about OCSelot ...
